I searched out the roamers of London during harsh winter nights.
Talking to these people and hearing their stories was a humbling
experience. Whilst they now shared a common experience their route to
homelessness was varied. Broken homes, high powered
jobs, military backgrounds; all had a different story to tell. Some had
mental health problems, almost all were simply lonely and wanted
someone to talk to.
I depicted the people I met using bright colours and clean lines as a
paradox to their existence in the shadows of London. Intending to
renew attention to their plight, and illustrate their colourful characters.
