The timeless effervescent Carmen Miranda.
This building has always intrigued me with its ornamental, bulky exterior and the tyre caricature Michelin man stained glass windows. Its style is a mash up of art-nouveau and art-deco, two of my favourite design movements. The building is home to the Conran Shop. Selling design aware items for home and office. No average retail experience, for no average building.
I was commissioned to create art work for the new Westfield extension in West London.
Such a fun project to be a part of.

The balloon base was designed to match the massive celebratory balloon colours. The balloons were a fantastic idea for the new opening, adding to the party atmosphere. Do go visit to see all the new spaces and the amazing new John Lewis, which is the biggest in the UK.
More on this project to follow soon…
